Reddit brand mentions: who links your brand, where and when

Brands is a KissMyPost tool that shows who mentions a brand on Reddit, in which subreddits, and how mentions moved month by month. A mention is a link to the brand's website or its domain written in a post or comment, so it suits brands people share by link. It covers 64,762 brands, and every KissMyPost plan includes it.

Real example

What a link count misses

Brands counts links and written domains. For tools people usually type by name, that is a small slice of the talk. Some of these subreddits also remove comments with links, which widens the gap.

What you can do

What Brands does

  1. Mentions over time

Monthly mentions across Reddit, also per 1M posts so Reddit's own growth doesn't read as the brand's, and the brand's share of all brand mentions that month.

  2. Viral spikes

Months when mentions broke far above the brand's usual level, with how many times above the trailing average they went.

  3. Where it's mentioned

The subreddits that carry most of the mentions and each one's share, plus the posts and comments themselves, newest first. Open a subreddit for its full report.

  4. Who mentions it

Gender and age, where they live and what they do, for the people who mention the brand. Who does the talking shows whether a few accounts, one-time authors or known bots carry it.

  5. Intent mix

Posts that mention the brand since mid-2023, split into pain points, requests for a solution and self-promotion. It needs at least 100 such posts.

  6. Similar brands, Audience groups, Topics

Brands that the same communities mention, the curated audience groups the brand is most associated with, and the topics it comes up alongside.

How it works

How Brands works

  1. Search a brand or a domain

Type a name or a website, such as Spotify, or pick from Popular: the brands Reddit mentions most. Recent keeps what you opened in this browser.

  2. Open its page

A tracked brand opens with its mentions, subreddits, people and posts. A domain outside the catalog says so plainly: This brand isn't tracked.

  3. Follow the subreddits

Open a subreddit from Where it's mentioned for its own report: who writes there, its rules, how often posts get removed and when it's busy.

Honest limits

What Brands doesn't do

Here is what it won't do, so you know before you start.

  • A mention is a link or a written domain, not a name. Only 1,651 of the 64,762 brands are also counted by name, so a brand people type by name looks smaller here than it is on Reddit.
  • No sentiment about the brand: Comment tone describes the subreddits that mention it, not what people say about the brand itself.
  • No alerts or email digests of new mentions.
  • No side-by-side comparison of two or more brands. Similar brands lists neighbors, not shares of voice.
  • A brand can't be added on request. A domain outside the catalog shows This brand isn't tracked.

FAQ

Brands: common questions

How do I track brand mentions on Reddit?

Open Brands in KissMyPost and search the brand or its website. You get monthly mentions, viral spikes, the subreddits that carry them and the people behind them. Brands counts links and written domains, so for a brand people type by name, also search the name in Historical search.

Does Brands count mentions of a brand's name or only links?

Mostly links. A mention is a link to the brand's site or its domain written out, and 1,651 of the 64,762 brands are also counted by name. In 29 marketing subreddits from April to September 2026, Semrush was named in 3,522 comments, while semrush.com appeared in 25.

Can I see what people think of a brand on Reddit?

Not as a score: Brands has no sentiment for the brand itself. Intent mix shows how many posts that mention it are pain points, requests for a solution or self-promotion, and the posts and comments are there to read.

Does Brands send alerts for new Reddit mentions?

No. There are no alerts or email digests; you open a brand's page to see its mentions month by month.

Does Brands track whether ChatGPT mentions my brand?

No. Brands only counts mentions in Reddit posts and comments. It doesn't check ChatGPT, Perplexity or any other assistant.

Is Brands free?

Partly. Each tracked brand has a free page at kissmypost.com/brand/<domain> with mentions over time, its top communities, common topics and similar brands, within a daily limit. The full report, with who mentions it, viral spikes and what people say, is part of every KissMyPost plan, and any plan can be tried for one day.
